I dunno I just found these on a website and they're a lot more helpful for spotting wallhackers than just mat_wireframe 1:

mat_wireframe 2 shows you the player models and quite a lot of the map as wireframes but gets rid of some of the extra stuff that you don't need.

mat_proxy 2 gives you invisible walls although it does this annoying fading to black thing and mat_proxy 1 I think lets you see models through walls (no wireframe).

r_drawothermodels 2 gives you wireframes on everything except the map - this one's really useful cos it's mat_wireframe without all the extra junk.

And a few others that aren't related to wall hacks:

impulse 101 - gives you 16k cash which is useful playing against bots and stuff.

sv_showimpacts 1 - gives you little squares where your bullets hit which is good for practicing controlling recoil

host_timescale - type in a number and become a superfast superhero.

Remember you can only use these when sv_cheats is 1 so don't go trying to turn them on in a public server (it probably won't do any harm unless you have a sv_cheats workaround but I should hope that no one here hacks Very Happy

)

does anyone kno hte command to change bullet speed? cus by changin gravity to 0 i can make nades fly slower. wud be fun havin a bit of bullet time against bots. ive narroed it down to tracer_speed 6000. any help wud be useful? ty

Does anyone know how to turn off rain? I always lag when I play de_aztec and the command I was told to use can only be used when the server has cheats on. Mind you once I get my new computer I won't lag so it's not that important, just a little annoying Razz

Yea - Might be wise to add to this topic that these cvars only work when sv_cheats is enabled on the server.. I think that going into a VAC secured server with these values is also quite a bad idea, although that's only hearsay.. Never tried it out myself and don't intend to either. Smile

Oh yea forgot to mention that lol - I'll edit it in a sec. And I'll see if I can find out what rain is for ya coper.

Edit: Just found out the answer for you and the cvar is r_rainradius 0, however, valve have made it a cheat cvar so you can't use it when sv_cheats is off Sad

I don't think using those vars will get you banned since they just aren't allowed if you dont activate sv_cheats first, which the server wont let you Smile

If you would get banned valve is gay... which I don't think they are Smile

If you join a server with sv_cheats to 0 you will not get banned in any way, it will set the command to default and you will have rain after all.

And because like 99.99% of all server have sv_cheats to 0 it is like impossible to get the rain off, unfortunately...

Yea I played on a couple of servers that had sv_cheats on by accident - nobody else had realised and I got accused of hacking when I turned noclip on Very Happy

nah no clip is where you can fly around the level, going through walls and stuff Very Happy

Yea noclip means you can't get hurt and you can fly around the map. There's a few other cvars like noclip_speed or something like that that define how fast you can go.

Maybe it's not such a good idea to be talking about cheats on here? Doesn't matter if you are literally just chatting about them - we don't want people to get the wrong idea about LBTG.

It's not really cheating if you're a) not using it for malicious reasons and b) not using some kind of work-around/hack. I regularly see admins on surf servers using noclip when they fall off ramps but I wouldn't accuse them of cheating.
