My opinion on the addictivity of CS:S and games in general:
Yes - They can be addictive and can cause reduced productivity, but the key (again.. in my opinion) is in finding a healthy balance between playing games and working towards your goals in life and having the control over yourself to play when you have time to play and work when it is time to do work. If you are conscious of this, then all it takes is discipline to find that balance.
(Not that I always find this balance btw. But I do my best.. )
That is just a general opinion though. Of course I cannot see what is going on in your life right now, so have no other option or intention then to respect your decision.
