World in Conflict drops you in the cold war, but with a 'What if' scenario. What if the cold war had escalated? the game lets you play in the cold war, including vehicles from that time
World in Conflict is an RTS game, which means it's topdown view, commanding your troops. The thing that makes WiC so special, is the concept similar to Supreme Commander (released earlier this year see also this article), with strategic zoom. It's not exactly the same as in mentioned game, but this creates that feeling youre playing a game like battlefield, because of the huge quality graphics.
