Gaming » Halo 3 hits one million pre-orders

Microsoft has announced that Halo 3 has passed the one million pre-orders counter, which breaks many previous records, and will most likely break Halo 2's first sales day record of $125 million.
Halo 3 is one of the most highly anticipated upcoming titles of 2007, coming September the 25th. The game will come in three different versions, to be known as: A Standard Edition, Limited Edition and a Legendary Edition, which comes with the Helmet of the games main character Master Chief. Boy, whoever buys the Legendary Edition has A) No life B) Likes to make a fool of himself C) Both...
Or am I being too hard now? I just dont see the reason in wearing an Alien-like helmet seeing as the average age of a Halo player is above 7. Anyway, Microsoft says that demand has been so strong for the Legendary Edition, that they expect it to sell out by the time the game launches, so obviously a lot of people like to run around with Alien-like helmets.
Halo 3 is supposed to be the top seller for the Xbox 360 this holiday season, as GTA:IV is out of the picture. Microsoft has made clear once again they like money quite a bit, with one million pre-orders not being enough obviously, large promotional campaigns will be held starting later this month with market leading brands including Mountain Dew, 7-Eleven, Pontiac, Comcast and Burger King.
