For all of you out there that want to play some more relaxing games besides CS:S, I’ve created a list of promising games, released now and yet to be released very soon this year, separated in genres.
So here it is, The Gaming Wishlist 2007 ;) First of all, a review on Supreme
Commander. More to come later.
-----------------------------------------
Genre: Action/Real Time Strategy

Platform: PC

Game title: Supreme Commander
-----------------------------------------
•Game Description

Supreme Commander is an RTS, Real Time Strategy. A game with a top down view on the entire battlefield commanded by your mouse. In SC you will have to extract natural resources, use it to create units, upgrade them and enter the battlefield. There are three ‘Tech Levels’ which are the upgrade levels for your units. A tech level 1 engineer or factory can produce units of tech level 1, which is weaker than for example tech level 2. You can upgrade your factories allowing you to create stronger units of higher tech levels. Not only their power increases, at new tech levels there will also new units come available and they will visually change aswell. There’s also an experimental fourth level of units, which creates units that can blast nearly anything.
Always keep in mind, that building anything requires resources. There are two types of resources in Supreme Commander. First there’s Mass, which is the basic resource needed for every unit. Then there’s Energy, which can be obtained by creating power generators and power storages. This adds a tactic feeling to the game, which is pretty cool but can be annoying at the same time.
Ah and then, there’s the maps. The maps are huge, and you can fully zoom out or in. Especially the zooming-in function is worth to mention, when you have a good PC, zoomed in the game’s got graphics like Battlefield 2. The units got lots of detail and you can really see the bullets/rockets coming out.

I couldn’t be bothered to add the story behind this game, if you want to find out go and buy it ;)
-----------------------------------------
Multiplayer is great aswell, me and bullit have played it today, the tech levels in multiplayer are way more important than in the singleplayer. It's very cool to crush the enemy with huge bots and Monkeylords (spiders with blasting lasers). Check http://img76.imageshack.us/img76/8792/bxmultiplayerwd0.jpg for a screen of me and bullit playing.
-----------------------------------------

Pros:
+ Supreme Commander is not one of the easiest games, but it’s really worth it. The zoom function is great, the units are designed really cool and the game gets you hooked for days/weeks.
Cons:
- You need a monster machine to make optimal use of the graphical functions, and with lots of units and a bad machine it can get laggy.
-----------------------------------------
Conclusion
This title is a must-have for any RTS fans. It’s one of the best Strategy games I have ever played. If you’re fortunate with a decent PC this game looks awesome and you should buy it.
The game costs about 45-60 euro’s, depending on the shop you go for.
I give the game a total rating of 9.3
