Assassins Creed II

As I have as well, many of you have probably played part one of Assassins creed. This game was already a lot of fun (although a bit repetetive at times) but the sequel that is set to be released in november 2009 looks even more promising.

The plot

Not much info has been released about the plot of the game, but what is know is that the main character will be a guy called "Ezio".. His family was killed by baddies and in the game he will obviously get his revenge on them.

Instead of the middle east like the first game, the sequel will be set in Italy in the year 1486, during the Italian Renaissance. Locations that have been announced so far are Venice, Florence, the Tuscan countryside and Rome. [1]

Graphics

The original game already had very decent graphics in my opinion. The cities in the game felt quite real and featured some amazing viewpoints and stuff.. As you can already see on the screenshots in this article, the graphics in the sequel are nothing short of amazing. The trailers that have been released for the game give an even clearer picture of that.

That aside the main thing that makes me very enthousiastic about this game is that for the first time ever it seems they got close to getting the faces right. No matter how amazing the graphics on previous games I've seen have been, the faces have always looked artificial to me, which does damage to the gaming experience. If the character graphics in the game are the same as shown in the trailers, they have done a very good job at making them look natural and we are most definately in for a treat.

The details

On november 17 the game will be released in the US. Three days later on the 20th of november, the PAL release will be done. [2] As was the first installment, the game is being developed by the Canadian branch of Ubisoft, a well known french game development company.

A number of trailers have been released for the game. You can view them on the Assissins Creed official website or download the E3 trailer for the game in HD from our site.
